In previous correspondence regarding the proposed Glacier Discovery Walk, we indicated that the draft Environmental Assessment (EA) would be available for public review by mid to end of March.
Through the engagement process, a number of suggestions and comments were raised by members of the public regarding the Glacier Discovery Walk. Brewster has taken these suggestions into account and is adjusting some aspects of the project design to better meet the needs and interests of the public. In addition, Parks Canada has requested additional information in the Environmental Assessment. Brewster is committed to ensuring that all potential impacts of the project are examined as thoroughly as possible, as a result, the completion of the Environmental Assessment and the subsequent public review period have been delayed to evaluate potential design changes and accommodate completion of the Environmental Assessment.
We remain committed to an open dialogue regarding the Glacier Discovery Walk. We will continue to keep you updated on project timelines and anticipated dates for the release of the EA. We are still planning to hold an EA forum in Jasper to coincide with the public review period and will notify you of the timing once established.
